this is my art
My best artwork this semester was my Animated Abominations piece because it was the one that I had the most fun making. I liked trying to find different ideas of what I could do and I love working with technology. I think I would like to redo my landscape artwork because I feel like there are certain things about it that I could have done a lot better, such as the gradient on the background and the edges on some parts to make them clean. Something I learned in art class that I could use outside of art is that the best thing you can do is at least try. If you don't try, there's no way you can improve on anything and you won't make it very far. I wish we could have done a horror theme for an artwork because I love anything horror-related and I feel like I would really enjoy coming up with something for that.

For this artwork, I plan to share all the things/people/pets that are interesting to me and/or make me happy in my life by using Express. I am also using Envision because I am always thinking about where my next photos can go in order to look nice. So far my plan has not changed from what my original idea was. Right now I really like how the pictures are able to overlap nicely and that I can make the rest of the picture not show up on the outside of the outline. Right now I am still working on what I want the background to be because I don't want it to just be on a plain white background. In this artwork, you can see the outline shape of a video game controller with a soft, white border on top of a black background. Inside the outline is a collage of pictures of my interests or things/people/pets that make me happy in my life. The pictures include things about video games. coding, YouTube, horror movies, my pets, my girlfriend, and my best friend. To create this artwork, I used my computer with the program Photopea. My big idea behind this artwork came from a picture I saw who did a similar collage that they made by hand using colored pencil. It caught my eye because it was different from all the other artworks that I was looking at and it interested me. My goal was to create something that contained all of the things/people/pets that interest me and make me happy because they/it all is such a big part of who I am today. Without these things and these people/pets, I would be a very different person than who I am today. Overall, I like how my artwork turned out. I think that the border/background could be a little better but I do like how the collage looks. It was a little bit of a struggle to get all of the pictures to fit nicely in such a weirdly-shaped outline but eventually I was able to get it. The final look was a little bit different than what I originally imagined but I still like how it turned out.Intention- The main reason I made this artwork was to create something that would not only catch someone’s eye at a glance, but to also create a reaction of mixed feelings for each person who sees it. I wanted people to love it and hate it at the same time. I wanted people to enjoy the attention to detail and craftsmanship, but also feel uncomfortable from seeing it because of the preset mindset of what those characters normally look like
For my final artwork, I will be using Express and Envision to create an artwork that shows all of my interests while being able to plan out what I'm going to be doing throughout the creation of this artwork. I want to show the main things that I am interested in like video games and music. I am also going to think about each step that I'm going to take before I start them. My main inspiration is coming from a picture I saw where someone drew and colored a bunch of pictures that represented their interests inside an outline of a video game controller. To create this artwork, I am going to be using my computer with the program Photopea. For my Postmodern Principle artwork I chose to use the Text and Image theme. My artwork is a minion that is deep fried a bunch and is contorted into weird shapes. Both eyes are way bigger than they should be with one of them still being bigger than the other one. There are pointy tear drop-like things coming from both eyes. The minion has a smile that's way bigger than a normal smile, his hands have weirdly contorted fingers, and his feet are stretched out. His whole body is deformed with random bumps protruding from the sides of his head, his arm blown up, his ankles shrunken, and the top of his head is super twisted. I created my artwork by first finding a picture of a minion with no text and background. Then I ran that picture through a website that deep fries images 2 times. Then I put that final deep fried image into Photopea (basically Photoshop but it's free and worse) and used the liquify tool to shape and contort his body and his features. The liquify tool allows you to stretch, expand, shrink, and twist any part of an image that you want. After that, I put in the text above the minion, changed each letter to be a different font, and used the liquify tool on the text. As a final touch, I went back in and used the liquify tool to stretch the background around to make it look more disheveled and warped. The big idea for my artwork was to make fun of minion memes because they are super bad and make me cringe inside. None of them are funny and there is usually a bunch with the same exact text but just on different images of minions. To make fun of them, my goal was to make the most cursed version of a minion meme as possible and with the help of deep frying and Photopea, I think I achieved my goal pretty well. Overall, I really like what I have created. I really like how creepy-looking I was able to make it by just using 2 tools and how I was able to successfully re-create it after my first one's progress got reset when my computer restarted. I also really enjoyed the creation process of this artwork because I got to use technology to make it. I don't think that I could make it better if I continued with it because I feel like it is perfect the way it is right now.
